Reflections on the Year

Reflections on the Year

It's the start of February and I still feel like I've not fully stepped into 2026. My to-do lists from 2025 still overhang and blend into my aspirations and thoughts for the year. When all I really want to do is continue hibernating with a book.

One way of processing time is just drawing it. So I did. This is 2025 in highlights:

On reflection a lot did happen last year, art as well as life. A few new experiences included:

  • Running my first fell race (yes, I did write a blog on this...)
  • Singing in public!
  • Exhibiting at my first Art Exhibition

I could definitely list a few things I didn't get round to but actually it's OK, and I think even GOOD to leave space and time within everything.

What's in store for 2026? More spaces and gaps in the diary for nothing. I know, always hard to actually do in practice but I think the creative mind just needs a bit of quiet now and again. And perhaps I'll get round to finishing that Children's Picture Book...
